The T-43 Gator will be officially retired from the Air Force fleet in a ceremony at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, Sept. 17, 2010.  The T-43 is used in Combat Systems Officer (CSO) training (formerly known as navigator training) under the 562nd and 563rd Flying Training Squadrons here.  The CSO mission will continue under the 12th Flying Training Wing, headquartered here at Randolph, with the 479th Flying Training Group in Pensacola Fla.  Under the 479th, students will train on aircraft simulators then fly the T-6A Texan and a modified version of the T-1A Jayhawk. (U.S. Air Force photo/Don Lindsey)
