AICUZ study updated for JBSA-Randolph, Seguin airfields
February 22, 2016
The first T-38C Talon lands at the Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Seguin Auxiliary Airfield during a ribbon cutting event signifying the reopening of the JBSA-Randolph Seguin Auxiliary Airfield Jan. 20. Upon completion of a three-year construction project, the airfield is now ready for flying by members of the 560th Flying Training Squadron. The airfield is crucial for “touch and go” training that qualifies fighter and bomber pilots as instructor pilots in the T-38C Talon. The reconstructed runway increases flight safety by distributing training around the San Antonio area, which means fewer aircraft and less congestion around Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph.
