NRD San Antonio hosts DEP, Influencer Meeting to prepare women for the Navy

Chief Petty Officer Isabel Guerrero, Division 6 leading chief petty officer, Navy Recruiting District San Antonio, speaks with (left) Erica Jew of St. Louis and (right) future Sailor Ashiyanna Landers of Newport News, Va., during an All-Female Delayed Entry Program and Key Influencer Meeting hosted by NRD San Antonio at the Rosenberg Sky Room on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word.  Landers, who attended San Antonio College, joined the Navy to become a hospital corpsman. Jew attended the event to provide Landers with moral and emotional support.

SeaPerch a huge hit at University of the Incarnate Word STEM Camp

Diana Tran-Yu, Navy City Outreach Southwest Region officer, speaks with middle school girls during SeaPerch Day held at the Ann Barshop Natatorium on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word as a part of the miniGEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math and Sciences) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Camp.  SeaPerch is an innovative underwater robotics program that equips teachers and students with the resources they need to build an underwater ROV in an in-school or out-of-school setting.
