Transitioning servicemembers will find plenty of career and job opportunities and make connections with employers at the Hiring Heroes Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Sam Houston Community Center, 1395 Chaffee Road, located at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. Registration is not required to attend the Hiring Heroes Career Fair. For more information about the fair, contact the Transition Assistance Program office at 210-221-1213.
ARNORTH leadership meets off-site to discuss theater campaign plan

The strategic planning session was designed to promote dialogue among leaders about ARNORTH’s operational environment in fiscal year 2018.
JBSA-Fort Sam Houston hosts two-day transition summit and job fair in July

The Hiring Our Heroes job summit and fair is being put on by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Transition Assistance Program, or TAP, at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston. Hiring Our Heroes is a program of the chamber foundation to help transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses to find employment opportunities. TAP provides counseling and job assistance to servicemembers who are preparing to leave the military.
