Navy Medicine Training Support Center commemorates Battle of Midway 75th anniversary
June 8, 2017
The Basic Medical Technician and Corpsman Program Color Guard presents the colors during the singing of the national anthem at a commemoration of the Battle of Midway 75th Anniversary at the Medical Education and Training Campus June 6 at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. The ceremony consisted of a guest speaker, ceremonial laying of the wreath and singing of the Navy Hymn.

Navy Medicine instructors conduct STEM tour for high school students

Petty Officer1st Class Elizabeth Sifuentes, a medical laboratory technician instructor at the Medical Education and Training Campus, talks to students from John Marshall High School while they look through microscopes during a tour of METC at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. The tour was conducted by METC's Navy service component, Navy Medicine Training Support Center, as part of their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, or STEM, efforts.

JBSA Sailor selected as Navy Medicine’s Sailor of the Year

Vice Adm. Forrest Faison, Navy surgeon general and chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, joins deputy surgeon general of the Navy Rear Adm. Terry J. Moulton and Force Master Chief Terry J. Prince, Hospital Corps director, in congratulating Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Cameron Graham, of Navy Medicine Training Support Center as Navy Medicine's 2016 Sailor of the Year.

Navy instructors, students honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Staff and students from Navy Medicine Training Support Center watch a video during a celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Medical Education Training Campus at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston Jan. 17. NMTSC's Diversity Council planned and conducted a ceremony and reception to honor King and educate personnel about what he accomplished.

Fallen sailor’s memory lives on through annual toy drive

Students load toys into a truck outside of Anderson Hall at the Medical Education and Training Campus, or METC, at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, wrapping up METC's fifth annual toy drive. Anderson Hall was named after Petty Officer 3rd Class Christopher Anderson who was killed in action Dec. 4, 2006 in Ramadi, Iraq, while serving with the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines. Every year, Sailors at METC organize a toy drive in Anderson's honor to collect donations for Toys for Tots.
