Andy Smith, far left, applied for a position through Schedule A, a hiring authority which allows federal agencies to hire individuals with disabilities directly into the workforce. Smith, who is wheelchair-bound due to cerebral palsy, now works as a foreign affairs specialist.at the Air Force Security Assistance Training Squadron.
