San Antonio mayor visits JBSA-Fort Sam Houston

Brig. Gen. Alcides V. Faria, Jr., U.S. Army South Deputy Commanding General of Interoperability, met with San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and City of San Antonio Municipal Government officials during their visit to Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston July 29. They were interested in learning JBSA-Fort Sam Houston's daily missions as well as the U.S. Army South missions with its partner nations.

San Antonio mayor inducted into Honorary Commander Program

The honorary commander program matches military commanders with local business and civic leaders to foster and grow understanding of the military mission and its impact on the surrounding community.
