The COVID-19 pandemic is a dynamic and rapidly evolving situation. The Gateway Wing wants to make sure our internal family and external community all have access to factual and up-to-date information. This frequently asked questions acts as a resource for anyone who has questions or concerns about themselves or a loved one that is part of the 37th Training Wing team, this includes Basic Military Training at the 737th Training Group and technical training at the 37th Training Group.

Volunteers show commuters ‘We Care’ at JBSA-Lackland entry gates

37th Training Wing military and civilian members hold positive messages of support at base gates during the morning inbound commute as part of their new initiative, “We Care,” at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, Dec. 18, 2019. The initiative involved 37th Training Wing military and civilian members spending the morning at various gates letting each person know that they stand together in support of those struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide by holding a positive message of support and handing out over 400 candy canes. If you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, please go directly to the Mental Health Clinic or to your closest Emergency Room. You can also reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.

BMT MTIs named 2018 Etchberger Team of the Year award

Military Training Instructors from the 737th Training Group at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland accept the 2018 Etchberger Team of the Year award during the Air Force Association Symposium in Orlando, Florida, March 1. One of the MTI team’s biggest accomplishments included implementation of the Air Force Basic Military Training curriculum changes, which are designed to graduate more lethal and ready Airmen.
