Sixteenth Air Force to streamline cyber weapon systems tools

U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 33rd Network Warfare Squadron conduct cyber operations at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Aug. 27. The 33rd NWS utilizes a cyber weapon system that employs more than 40 tools and applications. The “12N12” initiative aims to reduce this number to 12 in 12 months.

24th Air Force hosts NAF-wide cyber competition

Teams compete in offensive and defensive cyber operations during the 2019 24th Air Force Cyber Competition at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland June 3-7. The three-day exercise afforded teams from the 90th, 92nd, 833rd and 834th COSs, as well as the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, the opportunity to defend against an enemy within a virtual training network.

346th Test Squadron moves to new home

The ceremony was hosted to welcome the 346th Test Squadron, Unified Capabilities Assessment Program team to its new home. The UCAP team provides Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List testing of communications equipment before the equipment can be connected to the DODIN. UCAP is the only Air Force lab that provides DODIN APL testing and results are accepted DOD-wide.

Airmen selected to participate in new cyberspace direct appointment program
