Frank Falkstein (third from right) cuts a ribbon, with assistance from retired Maj. Gen. Tom Hickey and Maryland Jones, in Lackland's Fisher House III on Jan. 25. The ceremony was to dedicate a wall built of engraved bricks from donors who provided Fisher House operating expenses from 1999 to 2005. Mr. Falkstein is from David Weekley Homes, which built the wall. General Hickey is Fisher House board president, and Ms. Jones is director of volunteer services at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The donors help keep Fisher House a free home-away-from-home for visiting families of hospital patients.
