C.A.S.H. program eases burden of complicated travel vouchers

By 12th Comptroller Squadron

A new finance program is designed to help streamline the process of updating Airmen's pay accounts and filing manual travel vouchers.

Comptroller Assisted Self-Help, or C.A.S.H., Forms Lite is a newly developed Web-based program that assists customers in filling out many kinds of financial forms.

"This tool will reduce the amount of time customers spend in the customer service lobby," said 1st Lt. Cormick Wong, 12th Comptroller Squadron flight commander, "It allows Airmen to complete the necessary forms online, print them out and bring the signed copies to the finance office for review and processing."

C.A.S.H. utilizes a tax software-like wizard to walk customers through the form-filling process from their desktop. The program will produce a properly completed, standardized and legible document ready to be signed and submitted to supervisors or approving officials. The forms can even be sent directly to the finance office when needed.

"Using this tool will save customers time, increase transaction accuracy and reduce the amount of time Airmen are away from their duty sections," said Lieutenant Wong.

Additional information and a video demonstration on C.A.S.H. Forms Lite can be found on the Air Force Portal under the "Life and Career" tab, "Money-Finance Central" link.
