March Madness hits the Air Force

By 12th Services Division

Every year basketball fans wait for the tradition, the excitement and the upsets that accompany the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Final Four Basketball Tournament.

Are you good at picking the winning teams during the NCAA Tournament?

If so, you could win prizes in the Air Force's "March Madness" promotion, a free game being offered in conjunction with the 2009 Division 1 Men's National College Basketball Tournament Championship.

Each correct pick earns points based on the tournament round, and players finishing with the nine highest totals win prizes. Free game pieces can be picked up at the bowling center or Randolph Oaks Golf Course and contestants can register online using the code on the game piece. Players can also purchase a 32-ounce Coca-Cola NCAA collector's cup for only $1.95.

Then, on March 15, players fill in your tournament bracket selections (up to 10 brackets may be played). Picks can be made or changed until 6 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on March 19, but final picks will be locked in at that time.

The first place prize, sponsored in part by Coca-Cola, is a trip for four to the 2010 Final Four game for three days and two nights, and includes all hotel, air travel and car rental expenses, game tickets and $1,000 spending money. The second place winner receives $5,000, third place prize is $2,500, fourth place is $1,000 and five subsequent winners will win a Coca-Cola NCAA Pop-A-Shot arcade-style home basketball game.
