Public invited to Fiesta Parade at Lackland

By Gary Emery 37th Training Wing Public Affairs

The San Antonio community is invited to attend the 2010 Lackland Fiesta Military Parade on Wednesday, April 21, 9:30 a.m., at the base parade grounds.

The parade, a Fiesta tradition, will include a combined formation of more than 1,000 military members and the 323rd Training Squadron Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as the 341st Training Squadron's military working dogs and handlers.

Special guests performing in the event will include the U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. The parade concludes at about 10:30 a.m. with a flyover of military aircraft.

Guests wishing to attend the parade should enter the base via the Gateway East Gate, off S.W. Military Drive. All guests should be prepared to present a photo ID and proof of vehicle insurance at the gate. Guests will not be permitted to remain on base after the parade.

The parade will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
