RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas –
Base entry procedures are about to change for those attending events at Randolph Air Force Base.
Starting Sept. 1, the 902nd Security Forces Squadron will enforce new rules for individuals who plan to sponsor parties of more than five people on Randolph.
First Lt. Antwan Floyd, 902nd SFS, said the new procedures are part of the Integrated Defense Plan and Air Force Instruction 31-101. The change will enhance base security for the Randolph population and its resources.
Lt. Floyd said new entry plans will be enforced for all of Joint Base San Antonio; however, each installation will have specific guidelines.
For events on Randolph, sponsors will need to submit an entry authority list to the 902nd SFS Visitor Control Center inbox no later than three business days prior to the event. Sponsors need to provide their name, rank, organization, the time of their event, location of the event and any contact information.
The EAL also needs to include the name, address, driver's license number with state or Social Security number for every guest attending the event age 18 and older. Anyone who does not have this information at the time of entry will be vetted through the Visitor Center. Also, if a guest plans to bring their own car on base, security forces will need a description of the vehicle. All guests must enter through Randolph's main gate.
Other changes regarding gate entry include a 100 percent identification check from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Passengers may present identification in the form of a state-issued driver's licenses, state-issued identification card, a passport or student ID.
