JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas –
Maj. Gen. Mark Solo, 19th Air Force commander, visited the 12th Flying Training Wing to receive an update on the wing's mission and progress March 23.
During his visit General Solo received a wing mission brief and visited the flightline, maintenance facilities, the 435th Fighter Training Squadron and the 558th Flying Training Squadron. He also took the opportunity to join students for lunch and recognize outstanding performers.
He capped off his visit to the wing with a flight in a 560th Flying Training Squadron T-38 as a part of his evaluation of the T-38 Pilot Instructor Training Program.
This visit is his final formal visit to the wing prior to the inactivation of 19th AF in July.
