By Marcus Robins 502d Air Base Wing Public Affairs

The 802d Security Forces Squadron hosted a retirement ceremony for Military Working Dogs CCoolahan and PPuritan at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, June 5, 2026.

MWDs CCoolahan and PPuritan retired after a combined 15 years of service to the U.S. Air Force and the 802d SFS.

The double first letters in their names indicate they were bred through the Department of Defense Military Working Dog Breeding Program.
