The Air Force selected 2,309 active duty captains for promotion to major during recent P0425A central selection boards (LAF-A/N/I/C/F, Chaplain, Judge Advocate General, Medical Corps, Nurse Corps and Medical Service Corps).

- LAF-Air Operations and Special Warfare: 1,116 selected out of 1,379 considered.
- LAF-Nuclear and Missile Operations: 54 selected out of 75 considered.
- LAF-Information Warfare: 432 selected out of 501 considered.
- LAF-Combat Support: 270 selected out of 325 considered.
- LAF-Force Modernization: 170 selected out of 208 considered.
- Chaplain: 18 selected out of 27 considered.
- Judge Advocate General: 68 selected out of 83 considered.
- Medical Corps: None considered during this board.
- Nurse Corps: 126 selected out of 189 considered.
- Medical Service Corps: 55 selected out of 66 considered.
