JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas –
Joint Base San Antonio is looking for two outstanding Airmen and two exceptional Guardians, both male and female, to serve as 2025 military ambassadors.
These ambassadors will represent the Air and Space Force at various community events around JBSA.
Fiesta San Antonio will be the centerpiece of the program. Ambassadors will take part in the annual 11-day celebration, which features more than 50 activities. This event honors and celebrates the rich and diverse cultures of San Antonio.
All E-4 to E-6 members of the Air and Space Forces, aged 21 and older, who are assigned to JBSA, are eligible to apply to become military ambassadors. Nomination packages have been distributed to public affairs offices across JBSA.
Military Ambassadors are crucial in advancing the Air and Space Force’s community relations program.
Their responsibilities extend beyond Fiesta, involving participation in various events throughout the San Antonio metropolitan area year-round.
“This presents an excellent opportunity for our Airmen and Guardians to immerse themselves in San Antonio’s vibrant culture and strengthen the bonds between the military and the local community,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Oakland, Joint Base San Antonio and 502nd Air Base Wing Commander.
Nominations are due to the 502nd Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston by close of business Oct. 29, 2024. Nominees must provide a letter of recommendation from their unit commander.
Once nominated, candidates appear before a selection panel of chief master sergeants. The selection panel will review applications, conduct interviews, and select the ambassadors.
The application packet can be found below this article, in the TMT Tracker or email to 502ABW.PA.official@us.af.mil. Call 210-808-1095 for more information.
