Alamo Wing Food Pantry prepares to open for Citizen Airmen

By Master Sgt. Jacob Lewis 433rd Airlift Wing Public Affairs

The 433rd Airlift Wing Military and Family Readiness is collecting food donations for its food pantry program. They plan to officially open the pantry for 433rd AW and 960th Cyber Wing Citizen Airmen families starting in October.

There will be blue bins distributed in various locations across the wings for members to donate non-perishable food items. The blue bins will be labeled with a list of what should be donated.

The food pantry is planned to be opened for the October drill and is located next to the Military and Family Readiness office in building 909, Room 32. The food items will be available for any rank or family member, and individuals may take five items per person, per visit.

The Military and Family Readiness office is not just about food donations for this upcoming holiday season, they offer many resources for Airmen and their families. They offer financial counseling, support for spouses and partners, retirement workshops, deployment resources, and family support, and they offer many other programs.
