JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas –
The Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Retiree Appreciation Day takes place from 8 a.m. to noon March 2 at the Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, 1100 Wilford Hall Loop, building 4554.
Hosted by 802nd Force Support Squadron, 502nd Force Support Group and the and 502nd Air Base Wing, the event is designed to appreciate military retirees and their families for their past service to the nation while providing installation resources.
The WHASC Health Fair will include pharmacy "brown bag" counseling, a drug take-back, ordering prescription glasses for retirees (if the prescription is less than a year old), blood pressure screening, oral cancer screening, and health and wellness classes.
Participating services include ID card services, TRICARE Humana, Texas Veterans Commission, Department of Veteran Affairs, Retirement Service Office, JBSA Retired Military Member Council, AAFES, DeCA, MOAA, NCOA and 502nd FSS MWR.
The event is open to all military retirees, those transitioning into retirement, their spouses, as well as active duty members.
