JOINT BASE SAN ANTONO, Texas –
There will be tests of the "Giant Voice" alert systems at all Joint Base San Antonio locations June 30, according to JBSA Command Post officials.
The set of tests will be from 9-11 a.m. at JBSA-Camp Bullis and from noon to 2 p.m. at JBSA-Randolph.
These tests will include all alerts from spoken messages to attack and weather sirens. Any sounds that will be heard during the specified hours should be disregarded.
The command post alerts active duty and civilian members of any emergencies at JBSA – whether it’s a natural disaster, severe weather, aircraft accident, active shooter or terroristic incident – through emails, popup alerts, phone messages and texts that are circulated through the AtHoc system and the Giant Voice systems located at all JBSA locations.
