JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas –
Beast Day is only a week away!
It's time for another Beast Day ... a day for us to take a moment and focus on team building, recharging, relaxation, building internal relationships ... AND HAVING FUN! This year, it takes place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Heritage Park at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph.
To ensure all our teammates have the opportunity to participate, Beast Day events have been authorized as "alternate duty locations" and 502nd Air Base Wing members may actively participate or spectate. For those who do not actively participate or spectate, please report to your primary duty location.
Union notification has been accomplished, and 502nd ABW leadership is working with the 502nd Logistics Readiness Squadron to provide transportation for members at JBSA-Lackland and JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, if preferred.
Get your teams ready to compete in sports events and Race for the Beast, which will test your team's mental and physical abilities! Volunteers are needed for the race stations and if you'd like to assist, please email the 502 ABW/CAG at 502ABW.CAG.Workflow@us.af.mil.
Sporting events take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Race For The Beast is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities include a mobile escape room, ax throwing, indoor volleyball, golf, bowling, one-pitch softball, pickleball, 3-on-3 basketball, kickball and cornhole. For sports sign-up, send an email to 502FSS.FSWFS.Registration@us.af.mil.
A Commanders Call will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. The Uniform of the Day is appropriate athletic attire.
