232nd Medical Battalion welcomes new commander

The 232nd Medical Battalion at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston welcomed a new commander as Lt. Col. Genna Speed took over for Lt. Col. Manuel Menendez.

Col. Marc Welde, 32nd Medical Brigade commander, officiated the ceremony held at the U.S. Army Medical Department Amphitheater June 13.

The mission of the battalion is to train, educate, and develop resilient, disciplined, physically fit and ready Combat Medic Leaders prepared to conserve fighting strength.
