JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas –
To fuel collaboration among Air Education and Training Command Airmen, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command hosts its next virtual innovation summit, or iSummit, July 29 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
The purpose of the iSummit is to improve collaboration between innovators by providing AETC Airmen a platform to share information on innovative activities.
Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., the 22nd Chief of Staff of the Air Force, declared on Aug 31, 2020, “Only through collaboration within and throughout will we succeed.” The iSummit’s focus on collaboration strives to advance the CSAF’s strategic goal of Accelerate Change or Lose.
This iSummit addresses Innovation Resources, including discussions on the culture of innovation education in the Air Force, building industry relationships, OPSEC issues in innovation, as well as how to leverage both agile contracting and the AETC Immersive Learning Basic Ordering Agreement.
Brig Gen Brenda Cartier, AETC Operations and Communications Director, will provide opening comments to the participants.
"Understanding what resources are available is key to successful transformational innovation, said Col Thomas Wegner, AETC Innovation and Analysis director. "It will enable Airmen to transform their ideas into reality and provide our Air Force with a competitive edge against our adversaries,”
Airmen interested in attending the virtual event can contact the Innovation Advancement Division team at aetc.a9a.workflow.2@us.af.mil.
