JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO - RANDOLPH, Texas –
Even as summer draws to a close, the weather stays hot in San Antonio. To help you and your loved ones stay cool and have fun, the 502nd Force Support Squadron and Youth Programs, along with the Exchange, have organized “Back to School” and “End of Summer” Bashes across Joint Base San Antonio.
First up, schoolchildren and families can take advantage of free school supplies, take part in many activities and have a chance to win prizes during the Back to School Bash from 9 a.m. to noon on July 29 at the W. Ed Parker Youth Center, building 1630 on Watkins Boulevard, at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.
The Back to School Bash will have fun activities and games for both children and parents to participate in, as well as free school supplies for students in kindergarten through fifth grade who will be heading back to school in August. Next is the JBSA-Randolph Back to School Bash taking place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., August 5 under the outside breezeway of the Randolph Exchange. This event will feature fire trucks, food trucks, bounce houses, snow cones, crafts, games and McGruff the Crime Dog. For more information, call: 658-7471.
Then, from 1-4 p.m., August 17, the 502nd Force Support Squadron and Youth Programs will help you and the family say goodbye to summer with their “End of Summer Bash” at the Randolph Youth Programs facility. This event will feature a water slide, water guns, a foam pit, snowcones, bounce houses, arts and crafts, relay races and more. For more information, call: 652-3298.
