Lt. Col. Benji Jackson, deputy commander of the 502nd Force Support Group, opened the show by relating that he grew up riding motorcycles.
“We want you to be safe and take care of each other out there,” he said. “We look to you to educate the rest of the people on the road about motorcycle awareness.”
“Motorcycles are a challenge to operate,” said Jude Schexnyder, motorcycle safety program manager for the Texas Department of Transportation. “It’s a challenge for us to be seen out there. It’s takes a commitment to use the right gear to ride and to follow the rules of the road.
“When you know how to really ride your motorcycle, you really learn to enjoy it more,” Schexnyder added.
