Army Surgeon General speaks at professional development sessions

Lt. Gen. Nadja Y.West, U.S. Army Surgeon General and commanding general, U.S. Army Medical Command, and MEDCOM Command Sergeant Major Gerald C. Ecker, addressed Army Medical Department Center & School Soldiers attending the Captain Career Course and Non Commissioned Officers Academy at professional development sessions at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston  April 19.


West opened the session by taking questions and engaging in a discussion. Soldiers asked a broad range of questions about training, readiness and leadership.


The surgeon general emphasized the importance of Army Medicine in operational planning and exercises and the critical role of maintaining readiness.
