Gate changes at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston begin Jan. 22

Beginning Jan. 22, major changes will occur at two gates used to access the west side of Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.

AFIMSC continues to innovate in 2019

2018 Installation and Mission Support Weapons and Tactics Conference attendees read about one of the four mission area working group chairmen who led a team to think innovatively in tackling one of the Air Force’s toughest agile combat support challenges during the San Antonio event out-brief. The May 16 out-brief presented proposed solutions to about 1,000 senior Air Force leaders and members of the installation and mission support community.

JBSA conducts severe weather, natural disaster response exercise

The 502nd Air Base Wing will conduct a severe weather exercise from Feb. 20-26, consisting of exercise weather messages and a full-scale natural disaster response exercise, or NDRE, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 27 throughout Joint Base San Antonio.

Army to survey family housing residents by email starting Jan. 15
January 7, 2019
Residents of Family housing owned and leased by the Army will have a chance again to rate the quality of housing and housing services in 2019. The second online survey of about 10,000 residents living in Army-owned and Army-leased housing worldwide will be emailed Jan. 15. CEL & Associates Inc. will administer the survey for the Army. The email will be from ArmyHousingSurvey@celassociates.com.

Joint Base San Antonio gates scheduled for construction

Throughout Joint Base San Antonio, installation entry control points, otherwise known as the base gates, will undergo multiple construction projects beginning in January.
