AMEDDC&S social work students making a difference at Haven for Hope

Army 2nd Lt. Dori Lapenias, a graduate student in the social work program at the U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, meets with a client at Haven for Hope in San Antonio July 19. Lapenias is one of four AMEDDC&S graduate students in the social work program who interned this summer at Haven for Hope, a 22-acre campus that helps homeless individuals and families with services to help them become independent and find a permanent home.
