    A message from the Joint Base San Antonio Fire Chief: Image of Fire Chief

    Joint Base San Antonio Fire & Emergency Services is committed to providing worldclass structural, wildland, and aircraft rescue firefighting, to include technical rescue, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, fire inspections, code enforcement and public fire & life safety education. 

    Every single day, the men and women of our organization wakes to serve and protect 85,000 service members, civilians, contractors, and family members, who live and work on this amazing installation. This includes tens of thousands of visitors. Every firefighter does their best to live by our motto: "Protecting the Bravest Armed Forces in the World and their families every day!" Joint Base San Antonio has a tremendous and rich history, with its military lineage stretching back nearly to the beginning of the State of Texas. 

    Deputy Chief SMSgt Justin Hrusovsky and I are honored and proud to lead the incredible men and women of our professional emergency services organization. We look forward to the success, challenges, and growth the future brings. Our expectation is the pursuit of excellence and the display of greatness as we proudly serve our Joint Base San Antonio community.
