220814-M-BR906-9014.JPG Photo By: Lance Cpl. Leslie Alcaraz

WINDOW ROCK, Arizona - Navajo Nation Marines pose for a photo at the Navajo Code Talker memorial at Window Rock, Arizona, on Aug. 14, 2022. The Marines met to discuss their participation in a ceremony for the National Navajo Code Talkers Day, which has been observed every Aug. 14 since 1982. The Marines had never met each other before, but quickly found common ground through their shared military service and Navajo heritage. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Leslie Alcaraz)
