Combat Medic Specialist Training Program students train at JBSA-Camp Bullis

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Students in the Combat Medic Specialist Training Program look at a layout of Forward Operating Base Courage during training to become an Army combat medic, Sept. 29, 2022 at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas. During their 16 weeks of initial training, Soldiers go through a three-tier training program to become an Army combat medic. They complete casualty assessments, learn to apply a tourniquet, initiate IVs, dress battlefield wounds and conduct other complex medical procedures needed in combat.
