JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas - Contractors remove monitoring and injection wells from the Building 98 pit at the former Kelly Air Force Base, Texas. By the end of the BRAC, or Base Realignment and Closure, Environmental Construction Optimization Services contract, site closure will occur. This was something the previous performance-based remediation contract could not complete and is a huge benefit to implementing the new BECOS contract vehicle. (Photo courtesy by Sriram Madabhushi)
