JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas. - Members of the Air Force Cycling Team participate in the 46th Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Iowa, July 23-28. Over 130 AF cyclist committed to the 468 mile ride, with some acting as road and bike marshals. The six-day tour averages anywhere from 40 to 70 miles each leg and included stops in Onawa, Denison, Jefferson, Ames, Newton, Sigourney and Iowa City. AFCT consists of men and women who are serving or have served. The team uses cycling as a way to display wingmanship and an attitude of service, helping any rider that may need assistance.
