The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research Burn Flight Team provides care for a critical burn patient being transported in a military aircraft on a recent mission. The Burn Flight Team is a unit consisting of nurses, surgeons and respiratory therapists who have the capability to pick up and care for burn patients from anywhere in the world. The burn patients are flown in either a C-130 or C-17 aircraft configured for patient care to San Antonio, where they will continue their treatment at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research Burn Center located at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research Burn Flight Team provides care for a critical burn patient being transported in a military aircraft on a recent mission.
