Petty Officer 1st Class Charmaine JacksonRoss (center) from the Naval Technical Training Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland was named the recipient of the 2018 Shelley Botello Compassionate Servant Award April 3 at the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month proclamation ceremony held at the Medical Education and Training Campus Student Academic Center at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston. The award is given those who have made a contribution to the JBSA Sexual Assault and Prevention Response Program. JacksonRoss is a volunteer victim advocate in the program. With JacksonRoss are (left) Seletha Willis, JBSA Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program Navy sexual assault response coordinator, and (right) Rear Adm. Rebecca McCormick-Boyle, commander, Navy Medicine Education, Training and Logistics Command.
