Staff Sgt. Brendan Wendt, left, and Elias Abdulahad, start the assembly of a kitchen cabinet. Both men work with the 37th Civil Engineer Squadron at Lackland AFB, Texas. This is the second build the civil engineering team has participated in. They dedicated their time and service to the build in honor of the late Dan Williamson, a structural engineer who regularly volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and organized the first CE team of Habitat builders. "Dan passed away a couple days after that build," said Charleen Byrd, 37th Civil Engineer Squadron and Habitat for Humanity volunteer. "It was the last day many folks saw him. ...We had so much fun that we decided to continue (his) tradition. We are going to put a together a team for each of the builds - summer, fall, winter and spring."
