Several members from the 12th Flying Training Wing Maintenance Directorate pose in front of the anniversary edition of the T-38 that was parked near the Taj and the Missing Man Monument at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, for the annual wreath laying ceremony at Harmon Circle March 25. On March 17, 1961, the T-38 in its original white gloss finish arrived at Randolph and was assigned to what was then, the 3510th Flying Training Wing. Initially used for supersonic jet training, the T-38 began its history training pilots in initial qualification and upgrade training capabilities, teaching more than 70,000 American and international fighter pilots ever since.
