At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, approximately 60 military medical personnel will deploy in three, 20-person teams – two teams to Michigan and one team to New Mexico – to support civilian healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients in local hospitals.

The Air Force Rated Preparatory Program provides qualified Airmen interested in cross-training to an Air Force rated career field the opportunity to gain and strengthen basic aviation skills. 
Program participants receive self-paced ground training, approximately eight flight hours in a Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182 Skylane, and additional training in FAA-certified simulators—helping them become more competitive for rated selection boards.

This week more than 140 warriors and caregivers attended the Warrior CARE Event in San Antonio, Texas. This was the second time the Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Program hosted a hybrid event where people attended in-person and virtually, and to say it was a success would be an understatement.
