First-of-its-kind surgery, rehab puts U.S. Border Patrol dog back in action
March 27, 2017 — U.S. Border Patrol Dog returns to duty after being diagnosed with degenerative lumbosacral stenosis, a premature breakdown of spine discs that puts painful pressure on the nerves. The canine, Kvido, returned to duty after Dr. James Giles III, South Texas Veterinary Service surgeon, inserted a surgical implant enabling Kvido greater flexibility and decreased discomfort... MORE
