Military Exchanges extinguish vape sales

Vape products, including e-cigs, e-cigarettes, vapes and e-hookahs, are electronic nicotine delivery devices that heat a sometimes flavored nicotine-infused liquid into a vapor that users inhale. The Army and Air Force Exchange Service and the Navy Exchange Service have discontinued the sale of vape products.

Soldiers and their family members who do not currently use tobacco products are encouraged to avoid all e-cigarette or vaping products, particularly those sold off the street or modified to add any substances not intended by the manufacturer.

CDC issues warning of severe illness associated with e-cigs

E-cigarettes are associated with 215 possible cases of severe lung (pulmonary) illness and two deaths reported since the end of June across 25 states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
