JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas –
Col. Matthew C. Isler took command of the 12th Flying Training Wing from Col. Gerald V. Goodfellow during a ceremony here June 25.
Maj. Gen. Michael A. Keltz , Director of Intelligence, Operations and Nuclear Integration Headquarters, Air Education and Training Command presided over the ceremony.
Isler previously served as executive officer to the Commander, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. He is a command pilot with more than 3,100 flying hours in the T-6, T-37, T-38. and F-15C/D aircraft.
As the new 12 FTW commander, Isler will oversee three flying groups and a maintenance directorate spanning more than 1,400 miles from JBSA-Randolph, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, and to the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado.
