RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas –
The Randolph community shattered its goal for the Air Force Assistance Fund "One For All" campaign this year with an overall donation of more than $191,000.
Team Randolph contributed 225 percent of the assigned goal in this year's campaign and the total is the highest amount donated in 10 years.
"It seems as if Randolph really took our 'One For All' theme to heart," said Maj. Matt Liljenstolpe, base AFAF project officer. "I want to thank all Randolph personnel for their incredible display of generosity toward our fellow Airmen."
According to the major, the primary goal this year was to surpass last year's contribution of $162,000, and Team Randolph did just that.
"The average contribution was just over $103 per person, which is among the best in the Air Force," he said. "I predict we will finish in the top four or five in the Air Force in both dollar amount and percentage relative to our goal."
Randolph contributed $114,000 for the Air Force Aid Society, $27,000 for Air Force Villages, $28,000 for the Air Force Enlisted Villages and $22,000 for the LeMay Foundation. Each organization will receive 100 percent of the designated contributions.
Major Liljenstolpe said the unit project officers were an important part of the success of the campaign.
"I am proud of what we have accomplished this year, everyone who donated during the campaign should be proud as well," the major said. "Your contribution will help make the lives of many Airmen better."
