As the days get hotter and longer, Randolph's two swimming pools are ready to open for some fun in the sun.

The center pool is the first of the two to open May 30 and the south pool is scheduled to open on June 8.

The center pool offers water aerobic classes and open swim times to patrons this swim season, while the south pool offers swimming lessons, a day camp program for the youth center, lap swimming and private pool parties.

Swimmers can pay either a daily entrance fee of $2 or purchase a season pass to swim in either pool. Season passes can be purchased through the Information, Tickets and Tours Office, Bldg. 897. Individual passes are $35, and family passes cost $75 (for a family of three). There is a $10 charge for each additional child.

The center pool is located at the Parr O'Club and has open swim from 1-8 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Saturdays, the pool has open swim from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Sundays the pool has open swim from 1-6 p.m. For additional details, call 652-2060.

Water aerobics classes begin June 8 through Aug. 19 in the center pool. The classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. and cost an additional $3. For more information on taking classes, call 652-5316.

The south pool is located at Bldg. 980, adjacent to Chapel 2, and is open Monday through Friday from 8-11 a.m. for swimming lessons, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for lap swimming, 1-4 p.m. for the youth center's day camp and 5-8 p.m. for additional lessons. Saturdays, the pool is open 8-11 a.m. for lessons and 1-9 p.m. for private pool parties. The south pool is closed on Sundays.

Several levels of swimming lessons are available in the south pool depending on the age and skill level of the swimmer. Swimmers must register at the ITT and the cost is $25 for those with a season pass or $50 for those without a season pass. Swimming lessons last eight weeks and run June 8 through Aug. 13. For more information on lessons, call 652-2053.
