JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas –
Col. Angelina Maguinness, the 17th Training Wing commander ad Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, reviewed a Basic Military Training graduation at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland on Sept. 5, and invited honorary commanders to experience trainees becoming Airmen and Guardians.
The 17th Training Wing is composed of the 17th Training Group, 517th Training Group, 17th Mission Support Group and 17th Medical Group.
The wing also provides support to Army, Navy and Marine Corps on-base units, as well as seven other partner organizations and Angelo State University's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.
The wing trains Air Force 1N1, 1N2, 1N3, 1N4, 1A8, 1N0, 1N8, 9S100, officer 14N and firefighters from all branches.
There are 17th TRW units at the Defense Language Institute, California; Corry Station, Flprida; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; and DLI-Washington, Virginia; which also conducts intelligence training.
The wing is also responsible for writing the Career Development Courses for the Air Force Specialty Codes, which it trains.
