JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas –
U.S. Army Pvt. Nathan Trahan, a combat medic trainee with the 232nd Medical Battalion, 32nd Medical Brigade, was found dead at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston Dec. 4. Trahan, 18 years old and from Murrieta, California, was found unresponsive in his barracks room.
“On behalf of the Medical Center of Excellence and the 32nd Medical Brigade, our most heartfelt condolences go out the family, friends and teammates of Pvt. Trahan,” said Brig. Gen. Clinton K. Murray, U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence commanding general. “No words can describe how deeply saddened we are in the wake of this tragic loss.”
Details surrounding the death are under investigation.
