Flu shots now available at WHASC through Dec. 1

59th Medical Wing Public Affairs

All TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries can now receive the influenza vaccine through Dec. 1 at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

Active duty walk-in hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday; 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 22; and closed Nov. 23-24; located at the WHASC Atrium (first floor) between C and D wing.

All other beneficiaries (6 months and older) by appointment only from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday; Nov. 22, open 8 a.m. to noon; closed Nov. 23-24, at the Allergy & Immunizations Clinic (third floor, D wing. Note: Pediatrics Clinic offers flu vaccine during well child exam.

To schedule an appointment to receive the influenza vaccine, call CAMO or book online via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.

Beneficiaries may also receive CDC-recommended vaccines at no cost at participating network pharmacies. Locate network pharmacies by visiting https://militaryrx.express-scripts.com/find-pharmacy or by calling 1-877-363-1303.

To schedule an appointment:
Option 1: Call CAMO (Consult and Appointment Management Office); dial 210-916-9900, option #1 then option #2.
Option 2: Book online via MHS GENESIS Patient Portal

  1. Log onto your MHS Genesis Patient Portal Account at https://patientportal.mhsgenesis.health.mil
  2. Click the Appointments tab
  3. Click the "Schedule a new appointment" tab along the left margin
  4. Under "Who is this appointment for?", make a selection
  5. Under "How would you like to begin your search?" select "visit reason"
  6. Choose a reason for your visit:  Immunizations In Person Visit
  7. Click Search
  8. Choose a Location:  Air Force Medicine Wilford Hall Immunizations Clinic
  9. You will now be given times/dates for appointments - select an appointment that works for you
