Initial Release: JBSA service member death

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – At 10:19 a.m. April 24, 2023, San Antonio Police officers discovered a deceased U.S. Air Force service member at an off-base residence in San Antonio, Texas. The police officers were conducting a wellness check on the individual when they found the remains.

The individual’s name will not be released until after the next of kin have been notified.

This incident is currently under investigation.
