JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas –
The cold air mass with intermittent light rain and drizzling that began yesterday evening and created hazardous conditions in the local area is forecast to continue today in San Antonio into the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023.
Due to potentially hazardous roadways, particularly in areas of San Antonio north of Loop 1604, degrading weather conditions, and school closure announcements, JBSA is limiting installation services and operations for Feb. 1, 2023.
Unit commanders and supervisors will determine specific reporting instructions for mission-critical personnel as well as telework options for their units.
All personnel are expected to make personal safety decisions appropriate to their circumstances and to communicate with their supervisors if conditions in their area are unsafe.
The impacts on installation services and operations for Feb. 1, 2023, are as follows:
* JBSA 24-hour gates will remain open. For info on 24/7 gates go to https://www.jbsa.mil/Gate-Hours/
* All other gates will be closed except for BAMC Beach gate, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
* CDCs and School-Age Care will be available to Mission Critical personnel from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
