JBSA dining facilities serving up traditional Thanksgiving fare

502nd Air Base Wing Public Affairs

The 502nd Force Support Group will provide traditional Thanksgiving meals on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2022, for Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsman, Airmen and Guardians. Selected facilities will be open to all Department of Defense ID cardholders and guests.

All DoD ID cardholders and their guests are authorized to participate in the Thanksgiving meal.

Meal costs for Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston and JBSA-Lackland are as follows:

  • All service members: $10.05.
  • Family members: $10.05.
  • Family members of E-4 and below: $7.45.

For meal card holders, ID cards must have meal entitlement codes written to the common access card, or CAC.

JBSA-Randolph will be serving a la carte pricing, which will deviate from the pricing above.

Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston:
At the Rocco Dining Facility, 2745 Schofield Road, building 2745; and the Slagel Dining Facility, 1240 Harney Road, the Thanksgiving meal is served from noon to 2 p.m. The Rocco dining facility is open to all DOD ID card holders, while the Slagel dining facility is open to students only. JBSA-Lackland:
At Live Oak, building 10810; Mesquite, building 1017; Amigo, building 7532, Thanksgiving meal is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. At Live Oak, Mesquite and Amigo, dining facilities will be limited to the student population only. A menu is attached to this article.

JBSA-Randolph:
At the Wingman, 1958 1st St W, building 860, Thanksgiving meal is served from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Wingman dining facility is open to all DOC ID card holders. A menu, with a la carte pricing, is attached to this article.

JBSA-Camp Bullis:
At the Defender, Thanksgiving meal is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dining facilities will be limited to the student population only.

JBSA-Chapman Training Annex:
Thanksgiving meal is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The JBSA-Chapman Training Annex dining facility is open to all DOD ID card holders.
